Chief dog

The Cãofidente Program was developed by Associação ÂNIMAS with the aim of promoting an environment of trust and emotional support for children and young people involved in legal proceedings before the Family and Juvenile Courts and the Child and Youth Protection Commissions (CPCJ). The inclusion of a trained and certified dog can help minimize feelings of anxiety and insecurity resulting from the traumatic situations to which children and young people have been exposed and, on the other hand, create a context of trust and empathy through a non-aggressive reference figure, with the aim of mitigating fears and barriers to communication.
